PROFESSIONAL VIDEO is based in the town of Martellago, a golf club community in the Province of Venice. We are approximately 20 minutes drive from Piazzale Roma which is the last point at which cars, or any other land vehicles, are able to enter the water-bound historic center of Venice. We are also conveniently located 30 minutes from both, Venice's Marco Polo International Airport and Treviso's smaller international airport. Milan is two hours drive away by the super-highway ("autostrada"), Florence is three hours and Rome is five, while Naples can be reached in eight.

We are a full-service television and new media production and post-production facility, contract producer and equipment rental house. PROFESSIONAL VIDEO has a production arm which has produced several feature-length documentaries and series episodes and functions as a European and/or Canadian broadcasting production partner for eligible international productions. PROFESSIONAL VIDEO offers a range of European-based production and post-production services in high definition WIDE SCREEN 16:9 DIGITAL TELEVISION systems (and BETACAM.) From straightforward daily equipment rentals, equipped ENG crews, local production management, fully-crewed multi-camera OB live satellite broadcasting units, to international co-production partnering and complete creative program production, PROFESSIONAL VIDEO is one of Europe's most versatile producers.

Strategically located near historic Venice, PROFESSIONAL VIDEO is at the center of the European high-speed freeway system hub, connecting not only the north to south, but west to east as well. Venice is also a major railway hub, the location of several international airports, and a principal seaport hosting rapid ferry services to the Balkan regions, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt, Turkey and the Black Sea.

Our ENG deployment capability is 18 hours maximum almost anywhere in Europe, Middle East, Africa, parts of Asia, and North and South America. (Our average deployment is usually eight hours from assignment.) Our ten-camera high-speed OB vehicles can deploy anywhere in Western Europe within 18 hours and within 36 hours for most locations in Eastern Europe, pending border and visa clearances. Needless to say, we are also experts on the ins-and-outs of shooting in water-bound Venice.

Italy's television systems are PAL, 625 lines, 50 hz, 220 volts.

All our equipment is PAL standard. If you are coming from an NTSC standard country like the USA, Canada, or Japan, consider shooting in the higher definition of 625-line PAL and later converting to NTSC. If you are planning to distribute your production in the European market, material produced originally in the PAL standard can be more attractive to potential European buyers.
