PROFESSIONAL VIDEO carries ten state-of-the-art high definition PHILIPS LDK 100 16:9 wide screen format Multirole Digital Cameras which can be utilized in studio or remote shoot configurations or docked into an ENG configuration with any VTR format including DVCPRO, DVCPRO/50, and BVW Beta SP.

The LDK 100 can be utilized in either their 16:9 wide screen format or in 4:3 standard TV format.

The LDK 100 series digital cameras are created around a camera head currently featuring the most advanced 12-bit A/D conversion, plus 24-bit dynamically managed digital signal processors. The camera combines all camera functions in the digital domain including knee, gamma, contour, and matrix.

The LDK 100 cameras can be easily configured as studio cameras or as portable remote cameras.

The LDK 100 Series features unique dual skin contour circuits with automatic skin tone selection. There is an extended host of intelligent automatics including continuos Auto Black which gives perfect black levels and shading without the need for black balance. A specially adjusted matrix is also provided that helps ensure excellent color reproduction when working under fluorescent lights. In addition, it is possible to increase/decrease color temperature. The LDK 100 has 'Intel Inside'. Two of these powerful processor manage the automatics, video and audio DSPs, extensive built-in diagnostics and self-calibration circuits.

DPM sensors (Dynamic Pixel Management) allow format switching between 16:9 wide screen and 4:3 standard format with no loss of horizontal or vertical resolution, and with no change in horizontal angle of view.

The LDK 100 has a sensitivity of 2000 lux at F9.0, 89.9% reflection and minimum illumination of 1 lux (F1.4 +36dB gain). There is a typical signal to noise ratio of 60 dB.
